Prior to law school, Kelley attended William Woods University when it was an all-women Christian college. She double majored in Pre-Law and Business Administration and was the president of the Pre-Law club, Phi Alpha Delta. During her term as president and under the counsel and mentorship of Professor Cynthia Kramer, Esq., Phi Alpha Delta, built and opened the Bernard Wietzman Model Courtroom on campus. It is a fully functional courtroom in which the Western Division of the Missouri Court of Appeals holds sessions and allows undergraduate students to observe court procedures.
Throughout her career Kelley has alternated between working as a social worker for foster children and working in the legal field. In the past 25 years she worked in the legal field as a legal assistant, case manager, law clerk, paralegal and a Missouri attorney. In the past she has focused on business litigation, foreclosure defense, personal injury, family law, dependency law, social security disability, probate, estates, trusts and wills.
Kelley plays an active role in her church as a liturgical reader and is grateful that God has brought her to Light Path Law, PA, where the legal team prays for their clients’ well-being and success every morning. In the past, she volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem, working with children who have been abused and neglected.
Kelley enjoys reading, antiquing, going to the beach, and is an avid miniaturist. She also loves watching the Kansas City Chiefs with her family, friends and fur babies. There were only two awards given at Kelley’s high school graduation and she received one of them- the Courtesy, Loyalty and Courage Award, which was given to her by the faculty and staff of Ursuline Academy. Since graduation, Kelley has been striving to live up to those values every day.
