On August 30, 2023, Attorney Kristie A. Scott, Esq., Founder, Shareholder and Principal Attorney of Light Path Law, P.A., was a guest panelist for the “Women Empowered Through Employment Series” (WETES) Program. The WETES Program is a program for professional women in SWFL who want to up-level their confidence and communication skills.  The program was offered by Dress for Success SW Florida.

WETES is a five-week program and Attorney Scott spoke during the fourth week of the program.  The topic was “Enhance your Professional Communication Skills”.  The focus was to help attendees communicate more effectively with clients and colleagues to get what they want or need.

Attorney Scott focused on identifying strengths and weaknesses to improve communication, strategies to give and received feedback, and how to be brief while clearly meeting your objectives in communication.  Attorney Scott was honored to be selected as a panelist for this program and aspired to motivate and inspire attendees while taking away helpful tips of her own.

Communication skills are vital in the practice of law.  Attorney Scott prides herself in being an effective communicator in an out of the courtroom.  She was honored to share tips with other women professionals along with a dynamic moderator and other knowledgeable panelist.
