On August 26, 2023, a racially motivated shooting took place at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida. We know that evil is indeed present in our world. However, evil does not need to win the day. Romans tells us to overcome evil with good. We must therefore stand together in the face of this attack as one Christian community, a community of all colors, a community of harmony, peace, love, and freedom, joined by faith and a commitment to a better world. A community that will not falter in the stand against evil. We therefore ask that you lift up prayers for all the lives forever changed by this event.
